Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis are the three adorable children of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Royal fans can’t get enough of hearing about their grandchildren, and many have speculated as to whether the children bear any resemblance to their late grandmother.
Princess Diana’s friend Julia Samuel claims that Prince George has inherited something from the Princess of Wales. Continue reading to find out what it is.
Prince George’s godmother mimics Diana’s gift-giving style.
Samuel is one of Prince George’s godparents, as well as a close friend of Diana’s.
She recently said on Elizabeth Day’s How To Fail podcast that the gifts she gets for George are the same ones Diana would have given her grandson.
“I do to George what [Princess Diana] did to us, which is to give him impossible toys that are very loud and require a lot of effort to make,” Samuel explained. “I’m slightly tipped by the size of the present that William will have to put together over the course of several days. Then you put all of the machinery together, and it makes horrible tooting noises and flashing lights and all of that.”
“That makes me laugh, and it makes George laugh,” she added.
Princess Diana gave it to Prince George.
George inherited Diana’s sense of humour, according to Samuel.
Samuel said, “He’s funny, feisty, and cheeky, and God, [Diana] would have loved him so much.”
George and Diana share the Cancer zodiac sign, and one of the characteristics of the water sign, according to In Style, is a “goofy, ingratiating sense of humour.”
Dancing is a hobby that the young prince shares with his grandmother. Diana had aspirations to be a ballerina as a child, according to Pop Sugar. However, as she grew older, she grew very tall, and her height prevented her from realising her dream. George has been taking ballet classes as part of his schoolwork, and William says he enjoys them.
George also picked up a habit that Diana instilled in Prince William.
Prince George has a Christmastime mischievous habit that he inherited from his grandmother, and it’s something his father used to do as well.
Diana admitted in 1985 that she “could not resist opening my presents as a parcel of any shape or form has never been safe with me,” saying she “could not resist opening my presents as a parcel of any shape or form has never been safe with me.”
“William has picked up this dreadful habit…as I find wrapping paper undone in the most extraordinary places!” the princess added at the time.
The Duke of Cambridge said George was doing the same thing in 2016, according to Hello! William told AJ King on the radio that his oldest son was so excited for the holidays that he was trying to open all of his presents early.
