After his return to the UK for the unveiling of a statue to his mother Princess Diana, royal author Duncan Larcombe claims Prince Harry will wonder what he has given up.
According to a royal author, Prince Harry will be “torn” between the Royal Family and Meghan Markle, and may wonder why he has given it all up.
Despite a rift with Prince William, the Duke of Sussex returned to the UK for the unveiling of a statue to his late mother Diana, and the two appeared friendly.
According to royal author Duncan Larcombe, Harry has given up everything in the UK for Meghan, and settling his differences with the Royal Family now could jeopardise their marriage.
“Harry’s totally sacrificed relations with his family for his new life with Meghan, and things appear to have been done her way and with her needs first,” he told Closer magazine.
“I think Harry and Meghan will have to make compromises to work with the royals and even save their marriage,” Larcombe continued, “because there will come a point when he’ll be torn between Meghan’s world and his own family.”
Since relocating to California, the Sussexes have been vocal in their criticism of the royal lifestyle in the American press. Since his early twenties, Harry has stated that he knew it wasn’t what he wanted, and they have also accused the Royal Family of racism.”
According to Larcombe, Harry may have enjoyed the change of pace in the United States, but his recent trip back to the UK has demonstrated what he is missing out on in the UK.
“I think seeing his brother again, especially against the very moving backdrop of a memorial for their mother, will make him question what he’s given up for,” he continued.
For the first time since Prince Philip’s funeral, Harry attended the statue unveiling without Meghan, who stayed behind with their newborn daughter Lilibet.
The brothers put their differences aside as they conversed at Kensington Palace during the tribute ceremony.
Meghan has made racist claims about the royal family, claiming that she was asked what colour her baby’s skin would be in an Oprah Winfrey interview.
She’s also at the centre of a bullying controversy in the United Kingdom, where it’s been claimed that her behaviour as Duchess of Sussex caused at least two Palace staff members to resign.
