Prince Harry ‘blanked by members of royal family’ but ‘shown sympathy by Prince Andrew’ at funeral

Several relatives reportedly ignored Prince Harry at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral yesterday due to his controversial Oprah Winfrey interview.

It is claimed by sources that the only royal who showed him any sympathy was his uncle, Prince Andrew as he received a frosty reception from other family members.

In the first time for more than a year Harry joined relatives to say goodbye to Prince Phillip, who died on April 9 aged 99, the Mirror reports.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, did not acknowledge him before or during the service at Windsor Castle.

Only Prince Andrew, who stepped back from royal duties after a disastrous interview with the BBC in 2019, sympathised with him, a source told the newspaper.

They said: “He knows from Sarah Ferguson – and now first-hand – how it feels to be the outsider, which Harry very much is.

“As far as the others are concerned, there is a deep sense of protection towards the Queen and resentment towards Harry.
