The Royal Court has announced that Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden gave birth today, March 2, 2016, to a son at 8:28pm local time at the Karolinska Hospital in Solna, Sweden.
Both mother and son are doing well.
This is the second child for Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel. Their daughter, Princess Estelle, was born in 2012. The new prince is 3rd in the line of succession to the Swedish throne, and is the 4th grandchild for King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
